Mathews High School Band is excited to announce it's putting together an alumni band for the first time ever! The Mathews Alumni Band will perform at the homecoming game on October 13!

Music Rehearsal on Thursday October 12th in the High School Band Room

• If borrowing a school instrument, please arrive at 5:30 PM

• If not paid already, $25 registration fee is due at beginning of rehearsal

• Alumni band t-shirts will be given out at rehearsal

• Rehearsal starts at 6:00 PM

• Dinner + meet and greet in the cafeteria afterwards around 7:00 PM

• Flip folders/lyres are recommended to use on the field…like these on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=marching+band+lyres&ref=nav_bb_sb

• School instruments are limited, you will be contacted if we run out. If this is the case, you can do a one month instrumental rental from Daybreak Music [330-637-1891] in Cortland or Music 101 [330-638-1101] in Fowler. 

Rehearsal prior to Football Game on Friday, October 13th

• Arrive at 4:30 wearing Mathews Alumni Band shirt

• If weather is cold, you may want to wear jacket or undershirt

• Alumni band will practice with current band members at 4:30

• Parade block step-off with current band and alumni band will be at 6:30 from the east side of baker elementary into the stadium

Homecoming Game Halftime on Friday, October 13th

• Band will start the event off by performing their pregame routine and end in concert block

• After first routine, alumni band will march out to join them in concert block
