A note from Mr. McQuaide! important

As you are all probably aware, the Mathews High School Principal Mr. Stitt has opted to retire. Over the next few weeks, the search for a new school leader will begin. In the interim, Mr. McQuaide will be helping at the high school.  He will be able to assist you with any needs or concerns that would have normally been addressed by Mr. Stitt.

Mathews High School student earn Twenty under 20 nomination emma

A Mathews High School student is among some of the county’s most impressive young leaders. The Tribune Chronicle, along with Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley and Kent State University Trumbull recently unveiled their 2020 Class of Twenty Under 20, which includes Mathews High School senior Emma Gates.

Mathews Local Schools purchases more than 260 Chromebooks through Emergency Connectivity Fund  chromebooks

The Mathews Local School District has purchased 264 Chromebooks thanks to the FCC’s Emergency Connectivity Fund. In August, the Mathews Technology Department applied for the funding to purchase the Chromebooks.  In October, the district received confirmation of its approval.  The Chromebooks will be used for day-to-day learning activities, as well as supporting blended learning and remote learning learning models  that are now essentials to effective instructional operations.
