Students in Gail Suchanek’s 3rd grade class are diving into math concepts in an interactive way. As part of their lessons on area and perimeter, students explored how shapes can have the same area while having different perimeters, as well as the same perimeter with different areas. Through hands-on activities, students were able to visualize and better understand these important concepts.

Students in Mrs. Stiver’s geometry classes at Mathews High School created songs to help remember trigonometric ratios for right triangles. The optional project allowed students to earn bonus points while demonstrating their understanding in a creative way. Some students produced videos with slides to accompany rap performances. Others performed a Bollywood-style song and dance, complete with props and a live audience that included Mr. Garrett!
